I some sort of virus or malware few weeks back. Messed up browser, computer speed etc. Did a restore from Dantz Retrospect back up. Then loaded SP3. Loading SP3 made many errors come up such as Firefox good, while Explorer was not connecting to HTTPS sites (www was okay). Removed sp3 and all seemed well EXCEPT now see that am missing the battery icon frm task bar. Driver window showed an exclaimation mark next to compbatt.sys. Google search said to disable the driver and try a reboot ---- no good, then said try a search for new hardware.......... no good. Does not find any new hardware. Now no driver showing as being present for battery.

The driver is no longer loading. HOW CAN I GET MY COMPBATT.SYS FILE TO LOAD AND HOW CAN I GET MY BATTERY CHARGE STATUS ICON BACK? AM ALSO MISSING THE VOLUME CONTROL FROM TASK BAR. Running WinXP on 4 year old HP ZV5160US with AMD 64 processor.
