I need some help figuring out a monitor issue my dad's gateway is having. All the red is gone. I've tried adjusting the colors on the monitor and that hasn't worked. I unpluged everything and then reconnected. For a while, this works and he has red again. However, at times he will turn the computer on and the problem has happend again. Anyone ever experienced this?

p.s.
I am making sure that all the connections are staying snug. Nothing is pulling loose.

Is the cable that runs from the monitor to the computer detachable (meaning you can try a different cable)?

Have you tried hooking the monitor up to a different computer? If not begin with that.
