Hello Geekstogo team.

My two major problems are spotresults.com and loadingwebsite.com very anoying pop-ups. And I think I have other mal or spyware on my computer. Tried everything but they keep popping up. It would be very kind if you could help. I think my PC is highly infected. Thank You

Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.


Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

C:\Programme\OutLaster<<entire folder
C:\Program Files\Preview AdService\<<entire folder
vsmon.exe

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.


If you were unable to find any of the files then please follow these additional instructions:

Download Pocket Killbox and unzip it; save it to your Desktop.

Run it, and click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot. For each of the files you could not delete, paste them one at a time into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.

The program will ask you if you want to reboot; say No each time until the last one has been pasted in whereupon you should answer Yes.

Let the system reboot.

Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we will take another look.

Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager.

Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:

Exit the Task Manager when finished.

Run LSPfix and place a check against the I know what I am doing checkbox.

Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.


Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

C:\Programme\Save<<entire folder

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.


If you were unable to find any of the files then please follow these additional instructions:

Download Pocket Killbox and unzip it; save it to your Desktop.

Run it, and click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot. For each of the files you could not delete, paste them one at a time into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.

The program will ask you if you want to reboot; say No each time until the last one has been pasted in whereupon you should answer Yes.

Let the system reboot.


Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we will take another look.

Please disable Microsoft Antispyware. It may be holding us back. You can enable it when we're done.

Let's reset the restore points. Follow the instructions. Don't turn it back on until we get this clean.

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

(Windows XP)
1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Disable spysweeper and microsoft antispyware. make sure system restore is still off.

Paste the full file path (C:\WINDOWS\System32\l2j8lc1u1f.dll ) in the box and click on Delete on Reboot. Next click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, Process and Reboot now?" Click "Yes" and post a new log when you have rebooted.

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log, and we'll clean up what's left.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!
