my model of vaio PCGf540, uses the f2 button to enter bios. well that isnt happening, i have no hard drive, no cd in, no floppy in, just everything stock and normal, but it will not enter bios, is there anything i can do that makes a shortcut to enter bios or what?

First, before working on anything that I'm not familiar with I download the manual.

Second, on some notebooks you have to hold down the key to enter setup, then start the boot process. Pressing the key after boot up starts will not make it enter into setup.

sorry for your time, the keyboard wire inside the laptop was cut off....
