Greetings again! I seriously need some help removing the winantispyware from my computer. Annoying pop up scome up when I am surfing the net. I have already downloaded the hijackthis ( not sure if the correct one) and vundofixes to my desktop. I dont know where to go from here! Help! Thanks for any support you can provide!

Before running a new scan let's clean out the temporary folders.




Download ATF Cleaner to your Desktop.

• Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  
• Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
  
• Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser, do this also:

• Click Firefox at the top and choose Select All from the list.
  
• Click the Empty Selected button.
  
• NOTE : If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

If you use Opera browser, do this also:

• Click Opera at the top and choose Select All from the list.
  
• Close ALL Internet browsers (very important).
  
• Click the Empty Selected button.

Now, start The Avenger program by clicking on its icon on your desktop.

• Click in the window labeled Input Script Here and paste the text copied to the clipboard into it by pressing (Ctrl+V).
  
• Click the Execute button
  
• Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.

The Avenger will automatically do the following:

• It will Restart your computer. ( In cases where the code to execute contains "Drivers to Unload", The Avenger will actually restart your system twice.)
  
• On reboot, it will briefly open a black command window on your desktop, this is normal.
  
• After the restart, it creates a log file that should open with the results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
  
• The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to C:\avenger\backup.zip.

The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed a message box will popup either telling you that it is finished, or that a reboot is needed to complete the fix. If the fix is complete, click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that log back here in your next reply.




If a reboot is required, click the "Yes" button to reboot the machine. After the reboot, OTScanIt will finish moving any files that could not be moved during the fix and NotePad will open with the final results at that time. Post that log and a new Hijackthislog back here in your next reply.

I dont think the symantec antivirus program is not working properly. Do you recommend any sites in which I can ensure that my computer is safe and crisis free in the future? Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
• Copy&Paste the entire report and a new Hijackthislog in your next reply.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatly.

How is your computer running now?

While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things.
Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.

• Open Spybot Search & Destroy.
• In the Mode menu click "Advanced mode" if not already selected.
• Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt.
• Expand the "Tools" menu.
• Click "Resident".
• Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box.
• In the File menu click "Exit" to exit Spybot Search & Destroy.

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

Hello! The winantyspyware logo is GONE !!!! The start up is normal, but it takes a long time for the programs to run when double clicked on the desktop! Other than that, its back to normal!!!! Any programs I should download to fully protect my computer?? Thanks again and have a great weekend!

Hello!!!! Everytime I reboot the computer and the desktop comes up a window pop ups with an error message. The message says "error loading c:/PROGRA~//MYWEBS`//bar//.bin/WSBAR.DL" What is that??? Also, it still runs super slow. The slowest it has been. Help!!! Thanks!

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis.

Hi! I followed the instructions given, but Spybot won't allow me to make the (delete)change. It says that the registry change was denied. Don't know what to do to allow spybot to allow the change. Here is the log, but as you can see the file that we are trying to delete is still there. Other than that, the computer is behaving!
