Erroneous error message.

I have a HP Pavilion 7855, System #P3930A, computer, with a 1 Gb. Intel Pentium CPU, and when I upgraded it from Windows ME to Windows 2000 – I had fdisked it and removed old partitions – “C” and “D” with an Hirims program so it had no operating system on it when I installed Windows 2000, but not the computer works fine except it comes up with this message “hard disk may have virus on it” and then you need to press “enter” to continue on. Of course it has no virus on it as I also wiped out what was on it using US DOD 5220.22-n program, and after receiving this message first time, ran an extensive virus/Trojan check and none was found.

Any ideas what is the problem and how to correct it?
