Aye it is a very old programme and is no longer supported but still works for very old versions. But I must admit I could see no sign of it.

How are things now ?

IE is still takes a long time to load. I'm using Firefox most of the time now to avoid being hijacked since the pesky thing seems to like to lurk and then reappear. Thanks for the help!

I am sorry I could not be of more help but I can see no malware that would cause this specific problem

About:Blank as an infection generally disappeared more than a year ago and should not affect the newer systems


I would recommend updating to SP3 as IE becomes more secure
