Yes talk to the tech guys about your error reports and the update problem.

They do not appear to be malware related.

As far as running multiple anti-malware programs are concerned the danger is if you have two real time monitoring programs of the same sort running at the same time. They will clash, causing problems and providing little or no protection. Do not have two anti-virus programs, two firewalls or two real time anti-spyware programs running at the same time.

The recommendations at the bottom of my post were exactly that i.e. recommendations of possible programs that might be useful. No need to install them all. However if you have a gap in your computers defences you could check out what they do and use as necessary. The most important thing is to have one good Anti-Virus program and a good firewall running. Now days spyware is becoming so prevalent that a good anti-spyware program is also desirable.

I vascillate between wanting to download everything and wanting to just go Mac! Ha!

I'll hop over to the OS board and see if they can figure out my XP issues. Thanks again for all your help with the virus/spyware/trojan mess!
