yea every time i press enter, combofix loads up again. hmmm....

Did you copy and paste next line in it?

ComboFix /u

It will indeed open, run, but uninstall itself. If not uninstalled, just delete it manually as I already explained in my previous post :)

what about the hijack, and the dss program...should they be uninstalled also?

oh and the antivirus xp 2008 is still on my programs...?!?

You can delete DDS and HijackThis manually.

oh and the antivirus xp 2008 is still on my programs...?!?

Oh yes, I forgot we have to deal with that leftover still... :)

Delete an Entry from the Uninstall List

  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on the "Config..." button on the bottom right
  • Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
  • Click on the Box that says "Uninstall Manager"
  • Click on the entry "antivirus xp 2008"
  • Click on Delete this entry
  • Click "Yes"
