cant update computer and is computer is slowed down alot

i have tried to update ,y xp and cant , everytime i try to theres the error 0x8000018 and i follow their troubkle shooting methods to go to services.msn and change automatic updates disabled to automatic but everytime i apply automatic it reverts back to disabled , i recently re installed xp as i had a lot of spyware and viruses and i have activated my xp and run through a few antivirus programs (AVG, windows defender ) my computer is much slower than ever before it takes 10 mins for it to start up, the blue xp bar on start up goes for about 50 times literally and when i clikc my logon name form there it takes 5 mins to show my task bar and icons here is my hijacks log thanks very much 4 ur help.

Hi,

Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix:

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.
