Up until May i was using AVG Antivirus Free Edition, but started receiving notifications that it was no longer free and a price of 60.00 odd dollars would be required from henceforth, however the other day I noticed that www.filehippo.com is still advertising AVG as having a free edition. It also says free for the life of the product or something to that effect. My question is of course, "Is it free or not?"

Hello waynf

They released another free version :) download the new free one then un-install the old one and re-install the new one :)

http://free.grisoft.com

Just my opinion here but I always advise people not to install the toolbar which comes with this, you can if you want to but this is my own opinion :)

Regards
