Hi
I have a laptop hard drive which I have taken out as I have replaced it with a new drive. Now I am wondering if I can convert the old one into an external hard drive.

Fujitsu 40 GB LBA 78140160
Model No. MHV2040 AH
Date 2005-08
Rating +5V -- .6 Amp

Any help/links provided will be really appreciated. Thanks

Hello Manoj Gupta

You certainly can make that into an external hard drive, you will need to buy a 2.5" hard drive enclosure and then put your old 40GB drive in there and then attach it to a computer by the usb cable which will be supplied.

Hi

Just to add to wizzy2k5's answer:
check out the link below to see what a 2.5" USB caddy looks like.....

2.5" caddy

I believe the drive you have is an EIDE (PATA) drive so make sure the caddy you buy is for an IDE drive and not a SATA drive.
