Computer just reboots on its own

I can be working on a document or surfing, and my HP desktop(HP552W) will reboot and I have to start over from where I last saved....It sometimes does it about every 5 or 10 minutes...Is it the power supply or what shoul I do to troubleshoot this? Thanks

well the first thing I'd look at is heat then memory and then power supply....

Oh and also look at the motherboard... what you want to look at are the little can-like components.. those are the electrolytic capacitors... what you are looking for is bulging and/or leaking... if that is the case you need a new motherboard or at least find someplace that might repair it ( not terribly likely but some places may )
