cpu lag spikes while playing games

lately ive been having some serious problems with my cpu. my computer boots up fine, runs fine but after about an hour or so my cpu starts spiking alot.
i investigated the problem a bit and found that the lagger was a service called svchost.exe (Dcom launch). the lag usually starts after ive been using IE or itunes or playing games. a short term solution was restarting but its a real pain to hav to restart every 2 hours or so. i got a hijackthis log file if it helps:
