I am having a problem with my mouse and keyboard and hope someone can help me>

i inadvertently held my shift key (& possibly another key) too long and it changed the functions of both my keyboard and mouse

if i click on a list of files anywhere with the mouse it automatically selects all the files< not just the one i click on

i cannot control the use of capital letters with the shift key at all> if i try toi backspace to say correct spelling etc i cannot go to a point in the text< when i backspace all the text is highlighted>

i think the problem has something to do with accessability options for mouse and keyboard

i"v tried going to %the keyboard and mouse to "restore" defaults but that doesn"t work>

any help is appreciated!!

Shift key is stuck or damaged. You may be able to free it with a small screwdriver if its stuck down. Just hope that it hasn't damaged the keyboard matrix, the board under the keys that tell the system what's been pressed.
