All of a sudden powerpoint would not open anymore. Behavior :
Double click --> The rectangle frame "powepoint" flashes. then nothing. Its dead
Double click --> message box " the last attempt was unsuccessfull. You can lauch ppt in safe mode Y/N" -->Y -->another message box "could not launch Msiexec.exe" --> Then dead again.
Infos :
-->XP and Office student and familly edition.
--> I have antivir running
--> Isse exists with and without the firewall running.
--> More interestingly, we the computer is started in windows safe mode, then ppt runs !
I spent the afternoon on the web, tough luck, you guys are my last hope....
