Hi there,

I recently bought a Dell desktop.

It came with Windows Vista Basic.

Before, I was using a Toshiba laptop that ran Windows Vista Premium.

Now that I no longer use my Toshiba, I am wondering if I can transfer the Premium license over to the Dell if I uninstall it from my Toshiba.

The product key is on the bottom of my laptop. However, the only Vista DVD's I have are the recovery DVDs from both the Dell and the Toshiba.

Thanks in advance for the help.

OEM licences live and die with the machine they're stuck to.
Therefore the answer to your question is no, you can't transfer the licence.
