My virginity has been stolen. Must have been when I slept because I havent exchanged files with anyone for almost a week (I'm the ONLY user of this comp).

Suddenly my puter freezes and MSN starts sending "photo.zip" with the message "who is that girl? :)"

No one accepted and I pulled the plug cause I had no other way to make it stop.

The zip was found in my windows directory. Everywhere online says Vista doesnt have it----I ran this and nothing: http://onecare.live....-gb/default.htm (click the Vista linkage). Also I looked for the system files its supposed to have installed and cant find anything following the guides I see..I also looked for suspicious installed files, and ran spybot, Hijackthis (didnt see anything sus on my own, but then again I have a headache and don't want to be dealing with this).

According to my friends it's going around. How did it get to me if I dont receive files from unknowns and havent been asked to in a week or more? It doesn't make sense. The only thing I've done differently this week is I began using IE7. Also, my computer is up to date. Checking now it has two optional installs for my graphics and sound stuff.

Zone alarm didnt stop it, and it hasnt detected it. Spybot also, including the teatimer which is supposed to protect my registry (incase it's in there).

This started two nights ago and it continues. I rely on MSN a fair bit for work and it's not a good image for me to be sending virus' to people coming to me for help, or my friends for that matter :).

I don't know if I posted this in the right place, I apologise in advance if I didnt. I hope someone can help me?

Lets have a look

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

The "Alcohol" thing could be from my DVD/CD burner: http://www.alcohol-soft.com/
I did as you said with HijackThis.

Explorer killed successfully
C:\Windows\winssvs.exe moved successfully.
< purity >
Explorer started successfully

Hi

That will probably solve your problem but

Any idea what this file is? C:\deleteeeeee.exe Doesnt look like a normal malware file or any normal file

If you dont want to remove the alcohol line thats fine. I am not sure why they always add that line as it does nothing

Since then it's been running smoothly, no sudden stops like something is TRYING to spam a shut down MSN, and no MSN spam attacks yet! But I havent restarted.
Also, my process list has shortened a bit, by maybe 5 entries, I don't know if it's what I did in windows defender or what you did, but it's good :).

Did you want me to restart and see if it prompts nasty behaviour?

Well I DID remove MSN from startup, along with Skype, but it seems to have started up automatically....

However, no issues with messages or weird files being sent yet :).

EDIT: This isnt something that steals passwords and stuff is it? If so I have SO many passwords to change...
