Hello all
My excel 2003 will crash when I try to open it from a work book icon. I some times get the dreaded windows halt sound with an error message . " excel can't find the file C:documents/xxx/xxx/xxx.xls.
I've searched for days now looking for excel fixes// no joy.

I have run AVG SPYBOT Hijackthis. Found only tracking cookies.
I told the system to check the Hard disk at startup .
It mentioned a bad cluster or something , Darn phone rang and I missed the report, It was all done and booted when I got back to it.

My only other thought was to boot Ubuntu live and replace the ole32.dll file with one from a working PC.
Haven't tried it yet.
Any suggestions welcome.
