Display problems HELP!

I have a Dell desk top with window xp 2000, everytime I start my computer or go from page to page on internet I have to go into display and reset my color quality from low to high just so I can read the print and see pictures. What I dont understand is I go into display and set the color quality and apply and ok it but still have to reset everytime I start or reboot or go from page to page.
Please HELP!!!!!!! :)
