My son has somehow downloaded this virus onto his pc. I have managed to remove most if not all of the virus I think but the PC is running really slow now. The main problem is IE. Every time we try to start IE the PC freezes and we have to restart it.

Any ideas?

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
