Hi all.
I'm not too confident in my ability to match up compatible components so would appreciate any advice on the items I've chosen.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00GHz 6M Cache S775 1333MHZ

Gigabyte S775 Intel P35 DDR2 ATX Audio Lan

Tagan 700W 2FORCELL V2.2 +12V RAILS

Corsair Memory VS2GBKIT533D2 PC4200 2x1GB CAS4

I'm in Ireland and the supplier www.dabs.ie is my preferred one. Shipping costs etc from abroad would null the money saving advantage of building my own. I already hard drives, cd, dvd, graphics card, monitors, operating system (XP) etc.

thanks, Jules.

p.s. my budget is about 600 euro

Hi there,

Your system is looking pretty good. Everything is compatible, so good work there!

I would recommend changing to this RAM, though - it looks like a pretty good deal, and it's much better!

Cheers

Hi Troy,

Thank you so much for having a looksee and for the suggestion about the RAM. It's been over four years since I've had to consider computer technology (my last buy!). I've given the list to my local computer shop (independently run) and asked them to match the specs for the same price. Should be interesting :) Either way, I order my parts on Tuesday morning. Now all I gotta do is study up on the assembly part again LOL.

go raibh míle maith agat!

Jules.
