I use a Canon PIXMA iP1000, and it has never given me trouble. Today, when I had desperate work to do, the printed started behaving erratically. I sometimes get the message "Printer is busy", or "Printer not responding".

I have reinstalled the driver several times, and once or twice it worked; I also tweaked the wires and that worked - once!

Even when I try to replace the cartridge, the carriage doesn't move to the left like it should when the power is on and the front cover open.

I really need help with my printer!!!!!
