Hello all. I am running a Dell Inspiron 1501 with a Mobile AMD Sempron Processor 3400+ and Vista. I use AVG, Ad-Aware, and Spybot S&D. My problem started when I plugged in my new Antec notebook cooler into my USB port and the computer shut off. The only way to get it to turn on again was to remove the battery, replace it, then press the power button. I can plug my jumpdrive into the USB and it's fine, so I'm assuming only things that pull power from the computer causes it to shut off. What do you think is wrong? I just had the motherboard replaced by Dell about six months ago. Thanks for any help.

It shuts off even if the computer is plugged in. I tried turning the switch to low on the notebook cooler and the computer doesn't shut off anymore. I guess the laptop just can't handle the cooler on high.
