I have only the functional end user knowledge of computers and no nothing about adware/malware/spyware.

I would really appreciate if somebody could help me with my problem.

I am a very frequent internet user for my mails, bank accounts and games.
Suddenly my screen has turned blue and is showing a security warning as :
A fatal error in IE has occured at 0028:C0011E36 in VXD VMM<01> + 00010E36. error was caused by Trojan-Spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c

*System can not function in normal mode.
please check your security settings.
* Scan your PC with any availbalr antivirus/ spywarw remover program to fix the problem.

Can you please suggest me as to what should I do.
I tried running Adware and XoftSpy 4.12 and McAfee Managed Virus Scan, but could not figure out what to do.

Some parasites where shown by the scan but they asked me to register before they could eliminate. I tried registering but my PC hanged and the program stopped responding.

McAfee did not show any virus in the scan whereas Aware generated a report of 176 parasites with 35 registry key. I am sorry i have absolutely no idea bout these things and so i cant provide any further details.

Please help me in resolving this problem. As i have absolutely no idea what to do.

Thanks a lot.
Looking forward for your help in resolving the problem

Thanks and Regards
Nicky :tazz:
