My PC seems to be giving me mixed messages... the Network icon on the bottom right of my screen has a cross on it but, as you can see, I'm on line... It also seems to slow everything down if I click it. If I right-click than an empty white box appears that I can't click off. If I Left-click it my PC sounds like it's processing LOADS of stuff and I can't do anything for a while.

Does anyone know why this would be and how to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

The network icon with a cross in it signifies that what plugs into it isn't connected to anything. Same thing happens with Bluetooth.
If the system slows when you click on it then, um, don't click on it :)
Without knowing more about the computer and what you have running, it would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
