I bought a new HP 64 bit desktop with Vista home premium. I also bought a Belkin easy transfer cable to move files and settings from my old XP system. It doesn't work, so I called their tech and he said they didn't support my 64 bit Vista system . What can I do to move these files? Thanks

Howdy:

You could try burning them to a cd and moving them that way.

Hi there,

To add to Murray's response:
  • You could burn to DVD
  • You could copy to USB flash drive
  • You could copy to USB external hard drive
  • You could slave the old computer's hard drive into the new Vista computer
Are any of these an option to you?

Cheers

I have heard about a lot of problems with the belkin migration cable. I would consider this:
http://www.compusa.c...h...4&CatId=445
or just buy an external hard drive and transfer.
