My computer has been running slowly for a while now. I:'ve tried everything in the 'you must do this before posting a HJT Log' but have found that the machine turns off during virus scans. What to do?

Hi and welcome back to the forums. Sorry for the delay in getting to your post.

The first thing I see is 2 Antivirus programs installed, McAfee and Avast. This can cause several issues including the ones you are describing. I would advise you uninstall one of them and post a new HijackThis log. Let me know how it's running also.
