Hello. I'm looking for some help removing this reoccuring problem. It started a few days ago with a blue screen warning of a spyware infection as my dektop image. I have been trying to take it out with different programs but still fighting it and I keep getting windows warning with the following trojans popping up.

trojan-spy.win32.keylogger.aa
Trojan-Spy.Win32.GreenScreen
Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.bq
Trojan-Spy.HTML.Bankfraud.dq

Here's my log. Thank you in advance for checking this out. This service is really awesome. :)

Hello, my name is fenzodahl512 and welcome to Geekstogo.. Please do the following..

Please download SDFix by Andy Manchesta and save it to your desktop.
Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
  • A new folder will be extracted to your %systemdrive%, typically C:\SDFix
  • Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the script.
  • It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
  • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt along with any other requested logs at the end of these instructions.

Thanks for your help fenzodahl512. :)

I did the steps you suggested, however there was no SDFix.zip file. Once in safe mode, I went to the SDFix folder and clicked on the RunThis.bat file as it was already there after running the SDFix executable file. Here is my report:

fenzodahl512,

I performed all items requested and updated Norton with the free updates as much as I could. I'm not sure I want to continue using Norton at this time, can we continue without the paid subscription update while I find another antivirus program?

Thanks.

I performed all items requested and updated Norton with the free updates as much as I could. I'm not sure I want to continue using Norton at this time, can we continue without the paid subscription update while I find another antivirus program?

Yeah, sure.. Just uninstall Norton Antivirus 2003 and then download and install ONLY ONE of these free and excellent antiviruses below.. Just pick one :)

NEXT

Please re-open HijackThis and click on Do a system scan only. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O20 - AppInit_DLLs: karina.dat

Now close all windows other than HijackThis, then click Fix checked. Close HijackThis.

After that, please post me a fresh DSS log and tell me about your computer behaviour :)

Thanks for your help so far, I really appreciate it. I am going to replace Norton with Avira AntiVir but the website seems to be down at the moment. I'll make the switch as soon as I can get there and post another DSS scan if needed.

My computer is running great now. Everything is running smooth and I haven't noticed any problems with trojan warnings in 2-3 days. :) This is good!
