HiJackThis log [CLOSED]

My colleague accidentally opended a zip file on some junk mail (which appeared to be genuine) and it installed a host of bad things. The desktop pic has changed to a blue background with some message in the middle and the screen saver is the BSOD! I did the TrendMicro online scan, the little program with the bin to delete temporary stuff, and ran Spybot. Spybot appeared to find trojans and things and when I deleted them, now the PC won't boot up (it does in safe mode).

HiJackthis appears to show some odd entries - can anyone help please?

Hiya and welcome to Geeks to Go!

Can you post a fresh Hijackthis log please. Also, I'm not sure which version you're using, as its not a full log. This is the latest one:

Click here to download HJTInstall.exe
  • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
  • Click on Install.
  • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
  • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
