Hi Guys,

I've been infected with various trojans and viruses and what not. I've been banging my head for over a week and i am hoping someone here can help..

The annoying pop-ups have stopped but kaspersky and a trendhouse have said there are adware and trojans in my pc that cannot be removed.. i've done as much as i could and know so any help would really be appreciated..

Attached hijackthis log text file as well as a copy of it below.

Thanks
D

Hello dimple

Welcome to G2Go. :)
=====================

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.

This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and download and execute files.

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately.
If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information,
please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions
to apprise them of your situation.

Please read this for more information:
How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?
=================================
Please go to Start>Control Panel>Add\REmove programs:
Then remove all of these:
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_05
Java™ 6 Update 2
Java™ 6 Update 5
Eset (or Nod)

Then close the Add\Remove programs list.
=========================================
Backing Up Your Registry
  • Go Here and download ERUNT
    (ERUNT (Emergency Recovery Utility NT) is a free program that allows you to keep a complete backup of your registry and restore it when needed.)
  • Install ERUNT by following the prompts
    (use the default install settings but say no to the portion that asks you to add ERUNT to the start-up folder, if you like you can enable this option later)
  • Start ERUNT
    (either by double clicking on the desktop icon or choosing to start the program at the end of the setup)
  • Choose a location for the backup
    (the default location is C:\WINDOWS\ERDNT which is acceptable).
  • Make sure that at least the first two check boxes are ticked
  • Press OK
  • Press YES to create the folder.
==================================================
Please open up Notepad and copy all of the items in the code box below.
Change the "Save As Type" to "All Files". Save it as fixthis.reg on your Desktop.
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

"Microsoft DirectX"=-
"Microsoft Update"=-

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Windows Database Control]

  • Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\AltnetPointsManager
    c:\program files\altnet
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\P2P Networking
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{492536e8-b35b-11dc-ab53-000a941114c9}
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{516c82d6-707c-11dc-aad7-000a941114c9}
  • Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be Moved" window (under the light Yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • OTMoveit2 will create a log of moved files in the C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder. The log's name will appear as the date and time it was created, with the format mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log. Open this log in Notepad and post its contents in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt2
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.
==============
Post that log and let me know if everything is back to normal?
