The Dell 1707FP monitor that I have advertises that it has USB 2.0 ports, but I have experienced USB 1.1 speeds since the day I bought it. Is there any documentation explaining this as false advertising? Or am I just experiencing a strange phenomenon?

I would say that the usb ports on the monitor would be controlled thru the usb controllers in device manager. I would check there to be sure that the controllers and hubs are all usb 2.0 and there are no issues.

And yes, it could be 1.1 and the "book" be wrong because of updates in the manual.
