EDIT: My desktop has now been hijacked prompting me to download spyware software and an installation for XP Antivirus comes up. After running Malwarebytes again that issue was fixed.

I am having issues with windows firewall popups.
Windows Security keeps showing up with "Windows firewall has detected activity of harmful software" One of the following trojans is displayed:

Trojan-clicker.win32.tiny.h
Trojan-downloader.win32.agent.bq
Trojan-spy.win32.keylogger.aa
Trojan-spy.win32.GreenScreen
Trojan-spy.HTML.Bankfraud.dq

The only option i have is "Enable Protection" Which takes me to a pay (undoubtedly fake) anti-malware website.

I have run all my spyware programs but the problem persists.

Here is the Hijackthis log:

Hi and welcome to the forums here at G2G!

Since you have already run MBAM we can go ahead and make some manual fixes.

Right click on HijackThis.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SmartCfgWin] C:\Windows\system32\mhizwvuj.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [comaplapi] C:\Windows\system32\apubmpal.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [strcfg] C:\Windows\system32\jknojalo.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ApiWeb] C:\Windows\system32\mlwzuvgp.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ProcMon] C:\Windows\system32\wlurozmn.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Policies\Explorer\Run: [vNhqNKQ64d] C:\ProgramData\uluncbih\abmlivkf.exe
O21 - SSODL: aplset - {13775619-DF6B-2560-ACC0-093631F68226} - C:\Program Files\gvorvbg\aplset.dll
O21 - SSODL: appsmartchk - {75A9F748-CB85-2AE9-3C90-07D1BCB56D0F} - C:\Program Files\lrfhikg\appsmartchk.dll
O21 - SSODL: actui - {23C67137-B54D-6F4A-F401-02F96B7B41D6} - C:\Program Files\fxzclid\actui.dll
O21 - SSODL: ApiStrGen - {335A23F9-5842-2017-CD05-0401C3645575} - C:\Program Files\ooqwduf\AppSmart.dll
O21 - SSODL: AppSmart - {335A23F9-5842-2017-CD05-0401C3645575} - C:\Program Files\ooqwduf\AppSmart.dll

Then close all windows except HijackThis and press Fix checked.

My apologies, DSS has been pulled until further notice. Just run and post a new HJT log. Please also let me know how it's running.

No problem. And as for my PC, no problems either. I haven't had a popup in over an hour. I ran MBAM again and it found nothing, when it was finding 2 infections every time prior to your help. Thank you very much, this was much appreciated.

Great, glad to hear it's running better. I would advise you to update Java as it's behind. Also, running a Kaspersky online scan would be prudent too, see if anything else is lurking.

Update Java Runtime:

You are using an old version of Java. Sun's Java is sometimes updated in order to eliminate the exploitation of vulnerabilities in an existing version. For this reason, it's extremely important that you keep the program up to date, and also remove the older more vulnerable versions from your system. The most current version of Sun Java is: Java Runtime Environment Version 6 Update 7.
  • Go to the Sun Java Website
  • Click on the download button next to Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7
  • Check the circle next to I agree to the Java SE Runtime Environment 6 License Agreement.
  • Click on the link Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language and save the downloaded file to your hard disk.
  • Go to Start => Control Panel => Add or Remove Programs
  • Uninstall all old versions of Java (Java 2 Runtime Environment, JRE or JSE)
  • Reboot your computer
  • Delete the folder C:\Program Files\Java if present
  • Install the new version by running the newly-downloaded file, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Reboot your computer

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.
  • Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  • It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
  • When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
  • Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
    • Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
      Archives
      Mail databases
  • Click on My Computer under Scan.
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
  • You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
  • Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
  • Please post this log in your next reply.
Post a new HJT log also and update me on how it's running.
Well I think you're good to go here. Kaspersky only found one item, appears to be related to AV voice changing software? Is this something you installed or used at one time?
OK then you can just delete that file then:
C:\Users\Daridious\AppData\Local\Temp\DRDld\vcsbasic60.exe
If all is well then just some final cleanup and words of wisdom.
Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:
Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which may be infected anyway).
To turn off Windows Vista System Restore:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
4. Click on Continue on the "User Account Control" window that pops up
5. Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks
6. Uncheck the box for any drive you wish to disable system restore on
7. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click "Turn System Restore Off" on the popup window to do this.
8. Click OK
9. When you have finished, restart the computer and follow the instructions in the next section to turn on System Restore.
To turn on Windows Vista System Restore:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
4. Click on Continue on the "User Account Control" window that pops up
5. Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks
6. Place a checkmark in the box for any drive you wish to enable System Restore on
7. Click OK
Here are some other programs you may want to consider in addition to what you currently run.
Use a Firewall - I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer. Without a firewall your computer is succeptible to being hacked and taken over. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly. Here are some free and evalutation versions that provide
better security than the Windows Firewall. Comodo
Outpost Firewall
For a tutorial on Firewalls and a listing of some other available ones see the link below:
Understanding and Using Firewalls
Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly or set your computer to receive automatic updates. This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer. If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.
Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareBlaster to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware
Install SpywareGuard - SpywareGuard provides a real-time protection solution against spyware that is a great addition to SpywareBlaster's protection method.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareGuard to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware
Use Zoned Out -
Zoned Out will block access to malicious websites so you cannot be redirected to them from an infected site or email. Instructions for set up and use can be found at the website.
Update all of your Anti-Malware programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed and the ones you are currently running regularly. Without regular updates you Will Not be protected when new malicious programs are released.
If you have any other questions or issues feel free to ask, I'll keep the thread open a couple of days in case.
