XP system has run reliably for years, through SP upgrades etc - no problems. Tonight attempted to run Compaq configuration utility -- system immediately went to blue screen and a very brief message "Page fault in non-paged area". Use of compaq diagnosis tools yields same result. MS help reply suggests driver problem - deinstall drivers and retry, roll back to last known successful configuration etc. Can anyone suggest useful course of action and/or assess probability that this is only going to be a problem related to Compq config tools? New to this board - first post & attempt to use. Thanks.
