I have been infected with a redirect:
Seems like google will be redirected to a false result, either by a site called "copy-book.com" or through IP 85.255.115.45 / 85.255.112.110 ( these keep showing up in my registry under: HKLM/System/ControlSet/Services/TcpIp/Parameters/...DhcpNameServer = 85.255.115.45 - deleting them just makes them respawn. )
I thought I was getting redirected FROM google, through "copy-book.com" to the random useless sites I would end up at. I use www.google.ca - so I thought I would check the source for that page and, lo and behold, <script src="http://copy-book.com...k.js"></script> and more, redirecting me to this junk/spam/spoofed results.
Somehow I am not accessing google when I type in the URL. If this one thing could be resolved the problem may be fixed!
Included are my HijackThis Logs. ( Note: the spoofed IP is no longer present- it is present in backed-up HJT logs, but no longer, but I still get redirected!)
I have tried fixwareout, Decard Security Scanner and Combofix, no luck. That combination worked on my other (VISTA) pc, but not on this (XP) pc. I really need Google for work, so any ideas are appreciated!
