Um... hello my computer got infected with the pesty smitfraud trojan, it has all the usual: blue screen, error message, no wallpaper tab etc.
I ran Ad-Aware SE and I erased i bunch of bad stuff, I tried to run an update of my norton antivirus but it did not connect to the page although I was connected to the internet. also I could not get to my msm homepage or any other for that matter. I had abunch of weird stuff saved in my Favorites that I did not put there and I erased them all. right now I an using my sister account, so I could get connected and find info on this trojan and I foun your page.
i dowloaded Hijackthis and Spywareblaster.
right now the virus (if is not another one ) was quarantined by norton, access denied( whatever that is?)
I ran hijackthis again and I'm posting the log (I have no clue of what I'm doing, but I keep the faith, so please )
I ran into another site and it saidI should remove some of the things found by hijakckthis, such as 03-Toolbar.Virtualmaid , 04-HKLM\...\Run:[MSN Messenger] ,
04-HKLM\...\Run: [Security iGuard] all of which appear on the log ....
I can't delete the folders containing this stuff manually.

Unzip it to the desktop.

* Please run Killbox.

* Select "Delete on Reboot".
