I have a Gateway laptop and have been wireless for a couple of years now. I am using a Linksys Modem with a Netgear router. Recently I have been unable to access the internet wireless. As soon as I connect an ethernet cable from the router to my laptop I have internet access. Unplug the cord and internet is gone. I have contacted Netgear support and we have gone through all the steps to ensure that the router is working properly. They told me it may be a computer issue.

My wireless network status is showing me being connected but I still can't access internet wireless.

Hoping you have some suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tryed accessing your router's administration panel while you are wireless?
Try pinging a site (google.com would be fine) and posting the results.

What OS are you running?
If you are running Windows XP, try removing your wireless network form the wireless networks list and reconnect again.

Diego.
