I was wondering if there is a way to use my SD card reader to protect my computer. Its kind of a high tech fanticy that I think is impossiable. I want to set up a simple program that when you hit the power button, you have to have the SD card in the reader or you have to put it in, before the computer will boot up. Is this even possiable?

Not unless you take the hard drive out and have an entire system setup on a card reader, no.
