Hi

I'm needing help on removing a pesky program that keeps opening IE and going to sites at random. It does this at random and sometimes when i open Mozilla FireFox. I Currently have AVG anti-virus Software running and update to date. Each time i run the AVG scanner it finds about 10-15 trojan viruses and mal-ware programs. The computer i'm having this problem on is actually a work computer that my boss has been using. I'm Unsure of what he's been doing on the computer and i don't care to know lol. Any help i can get on fixing this would be grateful.

My level of knowledge is somewhat better than a normal users.

The company i work for is not a huge Business. Been going since 1973 with 6 Employee's total and its a welding shop. We have no IT departments or Secretary or even a working Refrigerator. This is not a Microsoft. And the computer was a old Home Computer.

But if this is still a problem then i'll understand.

ok, lets get started.

We will begin with ComboFix.exe. Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode. This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.

Please continue as follows:

• Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  
  
• Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleansing the system:
