I've been trying to help a friend whose computer was TOTALLY unprotected. First I ran Adaware and found nearly 1400 critical objects! Anyhow, I've also run Spybot, Spysubtract, Aboutbuster, and Hijack This and managed to get nearly everything cleaned up. All except this one file. I can't find a single reference to it on any of the tech sites, or anywhere on the internet, so it can't be good. WinPatrol can't identify it, Hijack This can't get rid of it, and I can't manually delete it in safe mode.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Dire Wolf,

Can you surf to:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
Upload that file there and post the results.
That may give us an idea what we're up against.

Regards,
