I've recently noticed in the Exceptions menu of Windows Firewall in the Control Panel, 2 items named "Red Swoosh" and both are checked, meaning, I suppose, that the Firewall lets them through. I don't remember ever adding them. How did they get there? Harmful? Maybe they came with a Windows update?

The link tells you that its a client side application from the Akami network. This is an application that was installed by itself or packaged with something else. The rules were more than likely automatically added during the install.
