Bloody viruses...

Alright,

I feel sort of stupid because of this, I do consider myself fairly smart when it comes to computers, but this just has me puzzled, as it has for well over a month now. You see, everytime I have scanned my computer for viruses for the last few months, it tells me I have four: Two JAVA BYTEVER.C viruses, and two JAVABYTEVER.A viruses. I have dont my research and I know exactly what they do, I have also done basically everything I was told to do to rid myself of them, but nothing seems to work. There surely must be a way to get rid of them... So I've come here looking for some help.
