Help with FFXI on Ps3

Hello,I have recently been having alot of problems with my game FFXI for the PS2(I have installed on my PS3 though)-I have never had any login issues until Square/Enix updated there content and since then I get lots of lag and difficulty logging into the game itself-I contacted SE and they told me I needed to setup port forwarding through my router so it could access these specific ports

I did so by following the tutorial on www.portforward.com for the PS2 and I am still having issues-I am lucky if I get to login 1/7 tries

Router info
Ambit SpeedStream U10C018
and I have the Ps3 wireless setup with a Netgear WGR614 v6

any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!
