McAfee Internet Security - too many annoying update reminders

I purchased McAfee internet security (it was one of those really good deals with 3 licenses for cheap) at the begining of the year. It works OK for the most part although it is a real system hog during startup (WinXP). My real issue is that it seems to want to do updates almost twice aday (or at least every time I use the computer). I have it notify me when it wants to update so I can stop the update if I need the "cycles" for something else I am working on (there are times when it uses ALL of the available CPU time according to "task manager").

So my question - is there some way to "tell" (configure) the McAfee software that it would only do the updates once a week (or whatever schedule I want) rather than every time I get on the system?

Thanks
