good morning
my pc has been acting erratically lately, beeping on startup. then one day, it made a couple of funny (not haha funny but scary funny) beeps. the screen went black and that's all folks.
since then, i've used my pc analiser card and got the error code which corresponds to initialize floppy disc controller. i've swapped floppy drives, ribbon cables. i even changed the videocard with another hoping at least i could get a screen to access the bios. but nothing.
i'm stumped. please help :)
thanks
btw, i'm running pentium 133, win98 me...

I can't hardly run a 133 on Win. 95. That's really pushing the limits! :tazz:

Check the RAM. I assume you are using PC66 SDRAM? If you have more than one module, then remove the first one & try again etc.
If you only have one, move it to a different socket instead.

Could you give us a bit more info on the system specs? ie RAM type & size, video card, mobo etc. Also, is it a AT or ATX power supply?
