:tazz: My brother gave me his laptop, and it has a BIOS password on it....................he has no idea how it got there...............when i try to start windows I get a black screen, when i try to enter BIOS I get password....................I was trying to use backdoor passwords, but i shuts the comp down after 3 failures, and there are so many different passwords...................

The exact make and model is HP Pavilion N5350 (Notebook)

Any help would be appreciated!!!

soxrok:

It's a laptop.. the battery doen't even come close to looking like that..

jacob:

If you have the manual for the laptop, it should tell you how to open the case to replace the battery.. Rather than replacing it, just remove it for a couple of hours (keep the laptop powered off and unplugged as well).. Put it back in and try BIOS now..

If you don't have the manual, then go to HP's homepage, search that make and model and download the manual to your system..
