Hi, I recently bought Team Fortress 2 and every time I go to boot the game I get the message:

Team Fortress 2: hl2.exe Application Error
The instruction at "0x00010109" references memory at "0x082e1564." The memory could not be "written."

This message shows up right as about the main menu of the game is going to show up. Any help?? I did a HiJackThis log just in case that would help.

Any help would be extremely appreciated! Other answers to the problem don't seem to work for me. :-(

Hi and welcome to Geeks To Go!. Please open steam and go to "my games". Right click on tf2 and choose properties. Click on the local files tab. Third option down is to "verify integrity of game cache". This will take a few min. to perform.

Do you know what your video card is? It is highly recommended that you update your video drivers.
