Hi peeps,

I've been experiencing this problem lately. Everytime I open IE through MSN, it tells me an error, then I have to report it, then close it. So I open IE the normal way, it be's ok...but when I type in a URL, it freezes and closes once again. I've removed the old version and installed IE 7 from Microsoft Windows Homepage...Still same problem.

After that, I re-started the pc, and tried again. I got this error:

DrWatson Postmortem Debugger

What is this? and how do I fix IE?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Drizzle, welcome to Geeks to Go!

Let's see if Internet Explorer will run without add-ons. Please go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons), and try surfing the web. Are you able to do so successfully without freezing?

Okay, good. You'll likely be missing out on some content though, so let's find out which Add-on is causing this error.

Start Internet Explorer normally, then go into Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable/Disable Add-ons. Then you can click on any add-on you don't want, or think might be causing the problem, and then click Disable near the bottom. Then restart Internet Explorer and see if the problem is still happening.

Feel free to post here if you are unsure whether or not an add-on is safe to leave Enabled.
