AZEsearch bar infection[RESOLVED]

I feel really helpless. Google search results are messed, IE runs very poorly. I ran adware, Spybot, and CWShredder. Here is my log file.

Then reboot.

Find this file C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and rename it to hosts.bak

Download FindIt's.zip to your desktop: http://forums.net-in...=post&id=142443

1. Unzip/extract the files inside to a folder on your desktop.
2. Open the folder and run FindIt's.bat and wait for notepad to open a text file. It will take awhile so please be patient ...
3. Then post the results here please, along with the new HijackThis log.

Good job. :tazz:

Please click on Start > Run> type cmd and press "OK".

In the next box that opens, type cd\
and press "Enter". Now you'll see the C: prompt ... looks like this: C:\>

Type cd\windows
and then Enter.

Next, type nail.exe /FullRemove
(make sure there is a space between nail.exe and the /) ... then Enter.

Then download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Reboot into safe mode and run Killbox.

Select "Delete on Reboot".
Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".
Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again..

Let the system reboot.

Run HijackThis again.
Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

A few things left to do.

In HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete an NT service
In the box paste: SvcProc
Note that the service should be stopped and disabled.
You can do that in the services menu.
Click Start > Run > type services.msc > OK
Scroll down to the service and rightclick it to get in the control panel

Then in HijackThis' Misc Tools click delete a file on reboot.
Choose this one:
c:\windows\system32\apomcyc.exe

Let your computer reboot and run HijackThis again.

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vrjwbfs] c:\windows\system32\apomcyc.exe

Post a new log for us to check please.

I disabled the service, and then used Hijackthis to delete it. Then i did the delete file on reboot thing. Next i did a scan and went to Fix apomcyc.exe, but this line:

Was not there. So this is the log file right after i rebooted. And it looks like Nail.exe is back? :tazz:

Please click on Start > Run> type cmd and press "OK".

In the next box that opens, type cd\
and press "Enter". Now you'll see the C: prompt ... looks like this: C:\>

Type cd\windows
and then Enter.

Next, type nail.exe /FullRemove
(make sure there is a space between nail.exe and the /) ... then Enter.

Reboot into safe mode and run Killbox.

Select "Delete on Reboot".
Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

c:\windows\System32\DrPMon.dll
C:\Windows\svcproc.exe
C:\Windows\Nail.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Bolger.dll
c:\windows\system32\gbydofx.exe

Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".
Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

Let the system reboot.

Run HijackThis again.
Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

Oh boy. Here we go again. ;)

One of us should move into the others timezone. :tazz:

Click Start > Run type services.msc > OK
In the list of services find:
System Startup Service (SvcProc)
Rightclick that line and choose Properties.
On the General tab Stop and set the service to disabled.
In HijackThis click Config > Misc Tools > Delete an NT service
In the dialog box paste: SvcProc

Then run HijackThis and check if this line is still the same:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qwneirp] c:\windows\system32\wtmgzc.exe

If so in the MIsc Tools window of HijackThis click Delete a File on reboot.
Choose this file:
c:\windows\system32\wtmgzc.exe
and reboot.

Post back with a new HijackThis log.

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ybudgp] c:\windows\system32\emrwfm.exe

Then click Config > MISC Tools >in the Misc Tools window of HijackThis click Delete a File on reboot.
Choose this file:
c:\windows\system32\emrwfm.exe
and let it reboot.

Post back with a new HijackThis log.
