We moved all of the music and image files to the external drive, and cleared several gigabytes.
But lately, the computer has been conitnuously indictating that there is less than 200megabytes of free space left on the C drive. I'd go into C and delete a few of the older hefty files to placate the problem, but a few days later the same thing would happen. I've probably cleared about a gigabyte of old files trying to solve this problem, but it keeps coming up. I always clear the Recycle bin/cookies/internet files ect regularly, so I know that can't be it.
I recently went around the C drive trying to find where the majority of the files taking up space were.
C:\WINDOWS Is taking up 52 or so of our 76 Gigabytes. I know this is an important folder obviously, but there seems to be a lot of useless data in there. Does anyone know what I can do to clear space on my computer? And is is possible that I have some kind of replicating virus taking up space? (or any other file for that matter).
Thanks.
